• Structural damage from pests — Conduct regular building inspections to identify and repair cracks, holes, and other potential entry points. Apply durable physical barriers, such as mesh screens, and use sealants on vulnerable areas like foundation joints and utility openings.
• Cross-contamination between sites — Implement strict protocols for cleaning and sanitizing tools, equipment, and footwear when moving between sites. Use disposable coverings or foot mats treated with pesticides in high-risk areas. Train staff on the importance of preventing cross-contamination.
• Accidental exposure to control agents — Equip workers with PPE such as gloves, masks, and goggles. Provide detailed instructions on safe handling and ensure adequate ventilation in application areas. Maintain first aid kits and conduct emergency drills for incidents involving accidental exposure.
